The Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) is given annually in the following subjects and grade levels:

English Language Arts:  Grades 3-8
Math:  Grades 3-8
Science:  Grades 4 and 8

The Keystone Exams are administered at the following times or no later than the end of the 11th grade year:

Algebra 1 (at the end of Algebra 1 or Algebra 1B)
Biology (at the end of Biology courses)
Literature (at the end of English 10)

Parents wishing to opt out of PSSAs or Keystone Exams must contact:

Written documentation for opting out must be received prior to the testing window for all scheduled exams.
